Be Like Jesus

Text: 1 Timothy 4:12
"Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity."

It is said that every child born into a family has got to resemble either the father or the mother or someone within the family and this is because every child bears the DNA of his/her parents. When a child doesn’t look like anyone in the family, it becomes a concern. It is also a concern in the kingdom when nothing about you resembles the Father. We as believers are born of God, being born of the Word and the spirit and if so, then the traits and character of God must be manifest in us.

Scripture records that Jesus is the head and we, the body hence, we are His representation on the earth even as He is our representative in the heavenlies. Without Him, we are incomplete and without us, He is incomplete which is why He is coming for us. Hallelujah! When people see us on the earth, who they should see is Jesus. Can your speech, dressing, attitude, and all that concerns you be traced back to Christ? You are called a Christian for a reason which means to be like Christ. So, if you are taking up the name, you must take up the identity of Christ.

There should be no difference between you and Christ. Little wonder Judas who betrayed Jesus had to kiss him for identification purposes because you see, the soldiers couldn’t differentiate between Jesus and his disciples. It took someone who was part of them to identify Jesus. Jesus was 100% God and 100% man so that we could be 100% man having 100% God in us. Let the world see Jesus in who you are and all you do. You are His extension on the earth.
