Christian Devotion

Christian devotion is an essential topic in the body of Christ. It is having a personal time of intimate fellowship with the Spirit of God. A lot of Christians fall victim to having no personal time of fellowship with the Lord. They are the kind of Christians that think Christianity is all about the activities in the gathering of God’s people. Do not be misguided, the general gathering of the saints is very crucial for a child of God, however, the Christian devotion is more so essential for the growth of the believer.

The Christian devotion enables a child of God to get intimately acquainted with the Spirit of God. It is in your time of devotion that you recognize the voice of the Holy Spirit, build a stronger relationship with the Lord, and have certain knowledge that is needful for you personally. Many Christians miss out on God’s perfect plan and agenda for their lives because they have failed to have their personal time with the Lord. In the time of personal fellowship, God reveals personal details to his children.

Many will say “ I don’t have enough time to be able to have my devotion”, how sad. Listen that’s not true. Firstly, recognize that there is never enough time. Secondly, you create time for what you deem important and place in high esteem. The reason many don’t have their devotion with the Lord isn’t a function of time constraint, rather it is a matter of priority; they do not place their devotion with God in high esteem. Refuse to be such Christians that think less of their devotion to God. Choose to create and have a quality time of fellowship with the Lord.
