A Life Of Splendour

Text: 1 Peter 2:9 KJV
"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light."

It is a glorious experience to be born again. By the experience of being born again, we’ve been brought into a life of splendor and all possibilities. When I talk about splendour, I am talking about GLORY.

You see, the dictionary defines ‘Splendour’ as ‘Grandeur, glory or brilliant distinction (uniqueness)’. That means when someone or something has splendour, the person or thing has a quality that is more unique than the usual. When we became born again, we received a quality in us that makes us more unique than whatever seems to be unique.

Dear Godchild, you are not normal, you are unique, and the life you have been called into is not the same with the one you had before, for, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature…”, 2 Corinthians 5:17a. And as our opening text clearly says, “…that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light”, you must know that you have been called out with something special to show forth.

In this life, we have received many things, but most especially, we have received the ability to walk as gods on earth, as scripture says in 2 Peter 1:3, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.” Refuse to live a life below what God has called you to live, be the Godchild that will “… press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.Philippians 3:14.
