A Priviledge to Serve

Text: 1 Thessalonians 2: 4
"But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts” "

We learned about stewardship a couple of days ago and, today, we would be learning how that serving God is a privilege. The devil has put many in a situation of thinking that service to God is burdensome, therefore such persons refuse to engage in service or rather serve with heaviness of heart. No! Don’t be a victim of the devices of the devil. Recognize today that  serving God is a privilege. God calling us to stewardship is a privilege and honor.

Our bible text says, ‘’we are allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel”. If we weren’t allowed of God to preach the gospel and serve God, we couldn’t have done same by ourselves. You must be glad that God has called you to stewardship and be determined to be faithful in your service to Him.

You see, there are certain blessings that has been set aside for those that are serving in God’s house. You may not know the privileges you are missing by not giving yourself to stewardship. Scripture tells us that a laborer is worthy of his wages, in the same vein, there are wages that God has put in place for those that serve in His Kingdom. Don’t allow the devil trick you to thinking serving God is a burden. Serving God is a privilege and it is filled with loads of benefits. Be a steward in the kingdom our Lord today and enjoy all the benefits of your stewardship
