Activiating The Becoming Power
The closest form of The Spirit of God’s expression in you is the Word. That means if you will ever have your first deep experience with the Spirit, it has to be by words. The apostles received him by The Spirit. Jesus speaking to his disciples after his resurrection said “And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:” John 20:22.
Did the disciples receive the Holy Ghost after Jesus did this? No. Jesus whilst leaving the earth said “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.” The reason they didn’t receive the Holy Ghost then was that something was missing. The Holy Ghost didn’t come until Peter fixed the Bishopric’s office that was missing (Acts 1:20).
Your closest form of the Spirit is the Word. That means 2 forms of the word matters to you:
- The word of God: you have to treasure the Word.
- Your confession: the words that you speak
The first stage of your becoming power is for the word of God to be in you, treasure and hold the Word in your heart. The Amplified rendering of Psalm 119:11 says “Your word I have treasured and stored in my heart, That I may not sin against You.” The Psalmist hid the word in his heart so that he would not sin against God (move out of your becoming power).
