The Springing Forth Of New Things

Text: Isaiah 42:9
"Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them."

For the past few days, we have been learning about the way to actualizing newness in our lives. New things are first made by words. The Word of God contains all that we would and could realize on earth. The new things we could ever realize in our life have been spoken by God. Consequently, we should search out the Word of God and speak accordingly to realize new things in our lives. We see from the bible text above that when God declares new things they must spring forth. The word ‘Spring Forth’ indicates an offshoot that is realized from cultivation.

The process of cultivation always includes a seeding time where-with the seed is planted and dies before it springs forth. The seeding time is when God speaks about the new things, and it is expedient that the word (seed) dies in the soil (your heart) before it can spring forth. Scripture tells us in 1 Corinthians 15: 36 “ Thou fool, that which thou soweth is not quickened, except it die”. Now, the question is, “Where and How will the seed die?” The seed, which is the word, must first die in the soil of your heart. The process of the seed dying in your heart means that the word has taken a deep root in you. This is possible by constantly fixing and feeding your heart, through the power of meditation and meditative confession, with the Word which God has spoken. At this time, the word is totally sown and sunk in the conscious and unconscious state of your heart. Having done this, the word will in no time spring forth.
