Christain Devotion

Text: Psalm 105:4 KJV
"Seek the LORD, and his strength: Seek his face evermore."

One of the cardinal instructions we have received in this year to bring to the realization all that God’s has spoken to us by prophecy, is to maintain our consecration and one of the things we ought to maintain as believers is our devotion to the Lord. In fact, you cannot sustain whatever it is that the Lord blesses your life with without consistent devotion with the Lord.

There are several believers that tend to have challenges maintaining their devotion. There are times that we seem to have a great time of fellowship with the Lord and it’s usually interesting, lasting for a season but then, there are other times it seems as though we are struggling to sustain that devotion for a long time. Whatever the case may be, it is vital that we learn to maintain a consistent, personal fellowship with the Lord.

Recognize that the personal fellowship we have with the Lord is far greater than the fellowship we have with ourselves during services, cell meetings or Bible study. Your personal devotion with the Lord can be said to be the most important part of your Christian life. We seem to have a laid a lot of emphasis on not neglecting the gathering of the saints but much more emphasis has got to be laid on having a personal time of fellowship with the Lord because the much you are able to receive in the gathering of the saints is dependent on how much you have received in your time of devotion.
