Covenant Of Wealth:(SOUL PROSPERITY)

Text: 3 John 1:2
"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."

Our opening scripture is God’s heartfelt desire for every believer. We’ve already established in previous diets that when a man comes to Christ and becomes born again, he also enters into a covenant with the Lord. A very important lesson to learn here is that many things that will happen in the life of a believer is tied directly to his/her soul’s prosperity.

From this scripture, we can depict that a believer can prosper in his soul. The next question now is, how can the child of God prosper in his soul or rather, what really is the soul’s prosperity? A man prospering in his soul doesn’t mean he has a lot of money in the soulish realm. The first step a man takes in the direction of the prosperity of his soul is to recognize and accept Jesus. Then, as he receives Jesus and begins to grow and mature in the things of God, God has designed that the soul prosperity will reflect in every other aspect of his life.

Observe also that in our same opening scripture, the answer to the covenant of health is also given. So, even the health of a believer is directly proportional to how healthy his/her soul is. This is why you sometimes can find a believer suffering from things he/she ought not to suffer from because this basic principle is lacking.

As a believer, you ought to be spiritually aware of everything the life of God avails you and when certain things are lacking, search the scriptures to find out what that might be. God never goes back on His word.
