Cycles of Spiritual Growth

There are phases and stages in our Christian race. God begins to take us through cycles in the spirit and the essence is to produce more through us. When God wants to move you from one level in the spirit to another, he takes you through some levels of spiritual pain in other words, spiritual burdens.

A clear example is just like when a woman is pregnant with a child and is about to give birth, the process of pushing the child out is never an easy process, it is usually a painful process. That is the same way it is in the realms of the spirit.

For the new phase to be birthed in you, God will have to take you through some rigorous processes in the spirit and aligning you with various spiritual instructions/patterns. It might come in form of a higher burden to pray and to fast more or study more and might come in a way that you are not used to, but God is simply calling you to a higher place.

Isaiah 40:31 tells us but they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. When those burdens arrive and we do not take advantage of them, we will lose a spiritual cycle of growth in the Lord. God would need you to press in and follow through with those burdens. You need to travail to bring forth the newness.

So be sensitive to Lord’s calling for a higher place in the spirit and never miss the cycle of your spiritual growth because out of it God would produce a new man in you.
