Divine Favor!

Text: Deuteronomy 8:18
" But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore unto thy fathers, as it is this day."

One thing we must always keep in front of us as we learn and appropriate this covenant of wealth is that whenever we don’t appreciate God or give Him the glory for the things we accomplish, we short-circuit the flow of this wisdom. We must always be wary of what we learned in Deuteronomy 8:17. Never get to that point where you think that what you have gotten is by your own power or ability. Everything that you have and will ever accomplish is by the power that God gives.

The second strategy by which God empowers His children is divine favor. There is such as the favor of God that can rest on a man and things will fall into place for that man. Even though we have received Christ and the grace of our Lord Jesus, a believer ought to constantly pursue the favor of God in His life. The favor of God moves the heart of men such that men would do things for you that they ordinarily wouldn’t do and they wouldn’t know why they are doing it.

When divine favour is at work in your life, there are things that will begin to fall in place and it would not be by the hand of man. You would know that this is God working out these things in your favour. A typical scriptural reference is what you will find in the story of Esther. This was a Jewish lady in the Persian kingdom with no parents save her uncle, Mordecai. By divine favour, Esther became the queen and later on became the savior of her people.
