Engage The Power Of Utterance

Text: Ezekiel 37:4.
"“Prophesy upon these bones and say unto them, 'O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.” "

The battle of life is a battle of words. Scripture tells us that what we battle against in this life and these forces are not physical, not flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12). Hence, God intentional about giving us a level playing field gave us weapons that are not carnal. When you look closely at the armor that God gave to us in Ephesians 6, you would realize that the only weapon of attack given to us what the Sword of the Spirit which the bible says is the Word of God.

The next question would then be, how do you engage the sword of the spirit. The Greek word for the tongue is ‘STOMA’ and it translates to the edge of the sword. Hallelujah. Your words are the means by which you engage in spiritual warfare. Also, your words have been designed to give life. Proverbs 18:21a reads Death and life are in the power of the tongue. Your words have the ability to give life to dead things in your environment. The tongue was given so you could connect with your spirit, produce words birthed by your spirit and give life to your world.

Remember, you are the light of the world and light is only needed in a dark environment. So, when you face challenges or live in an environment that seems to be dominated by darkness, engage the power of utterance by God’s spirit and activate the word of God in you. Know this, faith does not work for those who lack the presence of God’s word in them, and the Holy Ghost cannot do anything without faith, so let your utterance come from a heart full of faith inspired by the word. Learn how to tell the dead and dry situations in your life “hear ye the word of the Lord.”
