Grace to Bear

Text: 1 Corinthians 13:7
"“Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things"

Today, we would be looking at the second dimension which is the grace to bear. The word bear means to roof over, that is, to cover with silence. According to our opening text, the apostle Paul, started telling us the characters of love, of which one of them is that it bears all things. Meaning that it can cover not some but all things.

Your ability to bear all things is equivalent to the depth at which you know the LORD. The ultimate of this grace is LOVE. This love helps you to hold on, such that no matter what you face, you still live and stand for and with the LORD.

Job speaking in Job 13:15 said “Though he slays me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.” This is not a function of faith or hope rather solely on LOVE. And remember that God is love. 1Jn 4:16 says “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love;”

So, our ability to bear is dependent on how much we are rooted and grounded in love (God) to the point where you will not go back. There is a depth of love in you that surpasses knowledge and overcomes the knowledge of this world. Just like the Hebrew boys declared boldly to Nebuchadnezzar, that even if God does not save them that they would not bow.

Rom 8:39 says “Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” For anyone to work in this level of grace, your love for God must transit beyond any dependency on what you believe God can do for you or any circumstance. Discover this grace and function in it today and hear the Lord, like the apostle Paul “2Cor 12:9 “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” Make this your reality today.
