Journeying Into The Power Of An Endless Life

Text: Hebrews 7:16-17
"“Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life. For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.” "

God is a master planner, there’s not one step He takes that He eventually discovers He made a mistake. God is way ahead of every situation. The Bible says He declares the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10). This means that whatever we’re doing today, God has fathomed all of it, figured out how it will all work, and let it roll. So, when God takes a step in the middle of a generation, He isn’t guessing what He’s doing. He had ordained it that in that time Hhe will take that step.

God didn’t bring Melchisedec because He was testing for tithes. You see, after Melchisedec came and left, He never showed up again. Then Jesus was born many years later and we could tell who His mother is, we could tell who took His fatherly guardianship. There’s a trace to where Jesus came from that’s why we call Him Jesus of Nazareth.

Why then did our opening text say that Jesus, who had a trace came in the order of one that had an endless life? The first reason is that the supernatural abilities of God is only revealed in the office of priesthood. The second reason is that God has designed it that the superman in Christ must draw strength from the power of an endless life.

The power of an endless life is the power that exists in the life of God. The life of God is the only life that has no beginning and end. He created all things but was not created Himself. The devil, demons, and all things were created. Everything has a trace except Him who is beyond time.
