Light Bearers: TRUE WITNESS

As light bearers, we are called to bear true witness to the Lord’s saving grace to our world. We ought to be able to bear TRUE witness. Do not forget there are various witnesses in our world, and many of them are untrue. That is why our opening scripture cautions us on whose witness to believe. You see, many of these human reports make some level of sense mentally.

For example, a lady goes to the hospital and the doctor tells her she has some medical condition and cannot have a child; and she is a believer; The reality of the life of Christ says we are fruitful therefore that report is a report of men. Unfortunately, many of God’s people would rather accept that report instead of the report of God and be limited by that acceptance.

The book of Hebrews tells us about men and women of faith. Women who because of their faith received their dead back to life. Hebrews 11:35a. says, “Women received their dead raised to life again…” Halleluyah.

Faith becomes essential as we become true witnesses because it defies human report/witness because there are many witnesses in our world and God has called to be TRUE witnesses. Acts 1:8 says “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

Choose today to walk by faith and not by sight, holding fast the words of God above the reports of men. Most importantly, choose to bear True witness and never a lie.
