LORDSHIP!

We learned yesterday, that one of God’s ultimate plans is to become Lord over all. The Bible tells us that God gave Jesus a name which is higher than any other name. God did this for a reason; In fact, God made the name of Jesus even more significant than the name of God himself on the earth, even until our present dispensation.

Why did God exalt the name of Jesus so much? The preceding verse of our opening scripture shows us something vital. 1 Corinthians 15:17, it says “For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.” So the plan is for Jesus to utilise his name to gain the victory, after which Jesus then submits everything back to God, the God becomes all in all.

According to the plan, all things will be subdued under Jesus by the Church. Recognise that the Church is an extension of Christ on the earth. The Bible tells is in Isaiah 9:6 that the Government shall rest upon His Shoulder. Remember, the shoulder of a man forms  part of his body. Jesus is the Head of the Church; we are the body. As the Body of Christ which the Church is, we are the carriers of the government. God by his divine wisdom seeks to enforce Lordship through His Son, which by extension, is the Church; You and I.

After Jesus must have subdued all things, all things will then be subjected to God that God may be all in all. This is what we have in our opening scripture. How can we as God’s people walk into this Agenda of God for Lordship? We would be learning these details from tomorrow. Rejoice in the knowledge that you are the extension of Christ.
