Sound Mind

Every Son of the kingdom is expected to have a sound mind. A sound mind is one that has been cultured and trained by the Word of God. Many Christians have fallen victim of the devil because of the weakness and simplicity of their mind. Such Christians are easily tossed to and fro by the waves of life, and constantly sinking in mind battles.

However, the devil fears a Christian that has a well-balanced mind, because he knows that such minds are in readiness to deflect his voice and waves.

A sound mind is always in readiness to think the Word and deliver the understanding of the Spirit. No matter what the devil throws at such a person, there is a calmness and peace to engage by spiritual understanding. You must refuse to be a baby in spiritual understanding. Scripture admonishes us to be babes in malice but not in understanding; in spiritual understanding we should be men.

A character of a matured Christian is the ability to discern good and evil. Scripture says in Hebrews 5: 13-14 “ For every one that useth milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil” .

You must refuse to be a babe in Christ, grow up to maturity through the Word of God. The Word of God is the active component of a sound mind, give yourself to the Word.
