The Believers Warfare

Our opening text, is an eye opener for the believer. Know this, we are at war but our warfare is not in the flesh, meaning, we do not war by the rudiments of the world. That is to say, the weapons which we use for this warfare are not carnal. These weapons are not like the physical weapons we are acquainted with such as the dynamites, bombs, guns and so on, rather, the weapons at our disposal as believers, are such that in the heavenlies, they bear on them a code called “God”.

This is why scriptures tells us that these weapons are MIGHTY THROUGH GOD, to the pulling down of strongholds. Observe that our opening text from the fourth into the fifth verse was all written in a closed bracket, this simply implies that what was said, is very important and should not be down played by the God child. The reason is because, whatever was written there features mainly as the challenge of a lot of believers all over the world.

The TPT rendering of our opening text puts it thus “For although we live in the natural realm, we don’t wage a military campaign employing human weapons, using manipulation to achieve our aims. Instead, our spiritual weapons are energized with divine power to effectively dismantle the defenses behind which people hide.  We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God.

We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One.” Isn’t this beautiful? The scriptures say our weapons are spiritual, meaning, the believer is such that ought to utilize the weapons that speaks into spirituality and also energized with Divine power. For the next couple of days, we would be taking time to look at what these weapons are and how to utilize them for our advantage.
