The Day Of The LORD: (THE RAPTURE)

Text: 2 Peter 3:10
"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up."

Have you ever wondered why certain believers are not so comfortable talking or hearing about the rapture? One major truth believers all over the world must recognize is that we are living in the last days. There is no second guessing or assuming it. When we look through scriptures and see the signs that our Lord Jesus gave us about the last days, we can correlate them with what is happening in the world today. In fact, every believer ought to know why certain things are occurring in the world and not question them because it has been spoken of and written and prophecy must be fulfilled.

The day of the Lord which is the day of rapture is coming and every day that we live on the earth brings us closer to that day. It is a realization that we must all have. It has got to remain alive in your spirit. I wonder how many believers think about what that day would look like. Have you ever sat down to think about what it would be like, the chaos and confusion that would be in the world? The most important question you must ask yourself is, would I be in the confusion or would I be out of it?

Realizing that the day of the Lord would come and is near would make us make this Christian walk a personal affair. It is a personal relationship we all share with Jesus not a collective one. In the church family, we all share a collective relationship so if for example you miss a service, there are persons that will most definitely call you up to check up on you and probably find out the reason for your absence.

These are simply structures put in place for iron to sharpen iron but our personal relationship with the Lord must be kept vibrant. You cannot be busy serving the Lord in the corporate gathering with no fire in your secret place. The day of the Lord is at hand and your primary place of safety is in your personal walk with God. Keep it burning and stay ready.
