The Effect of Prayer on Soul Winning
The scriptures rightly stated in James 5:16b AMP, “… the earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].” This goes to show that if we are ever going to experience such bountiful harvest as recorded in Acts 2:41, earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer must be involved.
The reason why someone watching you on television speaking and turns off the channel is because prayer was not effective enough to channel conviction. The opposite is said when prayer has been effectively said, and someone comes in contact with a gospel tract or television program and has trouble sleeping at night because, suddenly that person receives a burden to be saved. Does this happen? Oh yes!
You must understand that in the absence of prayer, soulwinning becomes religion. In fact, when you win souls in the absence of conviction birthed by prayers, they simply joined a club, and the day you will discover their real heart or the real reasons why they followed you, you will discover that it had nothing to do with Christ. Prayer is therefore very essential and can never be overemphasized because it matters a lot in Kingdom establishment.
Begin to commit to earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayers and see how God will cause you to make a bountiful catch of souls
