The Holy of Holies-(Part II)
Yesterday, we started looking into the final compartment of the Tabernacle which is the holy of holies also known as the most holy place and we learned the contents of this most sacred place namely, the golden censer, ark of testimony containing the golden pot with manna, the tablets of the covenant and Aaron’s rod, with the mercy seat which had 2 angels called cherubims hovering over it covering the ark of testimony. We learned that this was the dwelling place of God and the high priest in the days of old could only go in there once a year to offer sacrifice.
How beautiful it is to know that in our present dispensation, God has made a way for us to journey into this most holy place. This is the purpose of consecration. Everything we do from the outer court, into the holy place is to arrive us at the holy of holies where we can become the full expression of God even as men. Understand this, if you don’t die, that is, if your flesh doesn’t die to lust and carnality, you cannot come in here because no flesh shall glory in His presence (1 Corinthians 1:29).
The bible tells us in Matthew 27:50-51 that Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent. When the veil parted, God gave us the right to come into any part of the Tabernacle and remain, of course through Jesus. He is the way to the father. Hebrews 10:19-21(MSG) reads So, friends, we can now without hesitation walk right up to God, into “the Holy Place.” Jesus has cleared the way by the blood of his sacrifice, acting as our priest before God. The “curtain” into God’s presence is his body. Glory to God!
