The Holy Place: ALTAR OF INCENSE:(Part II)
We learned yesterday that the altar of incense in our time represents the prayers of the saints. Our opening scripture shows us that Aaron the priest offered up this incense every morning and evening and this is to be a perpetual incense before the Lord. Remember, We have become kings and priests unto God (Rev 1:6) therefore, this means that we are to offer the same in our dispensation but now what we offer up to God are prayers and these are prayers of intercession.
The altar of incense is where influence comes from. Remember, we learned in our previous diet several weeks ago that everyone is under an influence which is incense in the realms of the spirit. Even God our father is moved by incense as seen in Genesis 8:21 when He vowed never to destroy the world by water after Noah offered up a sacrifice to Him. As believers, we are equally under an influence, but the major question is what influence or incense controls you?
Your prayer of intercession is what comes up to God as incense and the more you offer up these prayers, the more you raise incense which in turns become the influence over your life. Scripture in Revelation 8:4 reads “And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God out of the angel’s hand”. You cannot live a successful Christian life without prayers.
