The Holy Place: The Table Of Shew Bread:(Part II)

Text: Leviticus 24:9
"And it shall be Aaron's and his sons'; and they shall eat it in the holy place: for it is most holy unto him of the offerings of the LORD made by fire by a perpetual statute."

We learned yesterday that the table of shewbread for the present-day believer signifies the Word of God which the God child has got to chew on just as the priests of old ate the shewbread in the holy place. We have understood that the holy place is our place of devotion and in-depth fellowship with the Word and the spirit of God. This means that we as God’s temple have got to give ourselves to the Word of God whenever we have our devotion. Jesus said in John 6:33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. Jesus is the bread of God, and He is equally the Word of God. Therefore, to become the image of God, one has got to eat the bread of God which is the Word.

The message translation of Psalms 1:2 reads Instead you thrill to God’s Word; you chew on Scripture Day and night. This ought to be the testimony of every believer. Where you enjoy and devote time to reading scriptures or listening to the word of God. Remember, few weeks ago, we learned that the word of God is the mirror of God that transforms us into His image. You cannot journey into God without the Word of God.

Romans 12:2 tells us And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Our minds being renewed is a continuous process. We do not stop at any point in time because God’s word is new every morning. You cannot live a successful Christian life neither can you arrive at God’s perfect plan and will for your life without the Word of God. Thrill to the Word of God, it reveals your true identity. Moreso, this has bearing on the outer court operation because your sacrifice of prayer and praise has got to be by the Word.
