The Power Of The Tongue

Text: Proverbs 18:20-21
" A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof."

We are still learning the principles on how to get our path to shine brighter and brighter till the perfect day. Our opening scripture tells us something amazing. The bible says with the fruit of his mouth, not the fruit of his hands, his labour, or his credentials. It says death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Those who will not eat the fruit are those that do not love the power of the tongue. It does not mean that you do not Iike talking, it means that you do not like talking right, talking in accordance with the word.

Why are you not yet filled? You are not filled yet because you have not started talking. Psalms 45:1 says My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer. A ready writer is someone that has conceived something to write. When a man has conceived so much in his heart, his tongue is just ready to speak. The bible used the word tongue for a reason.

Remember in 2 Corinthians 3:2, the bible says you are an epistle. Your life is a living written page meaning every day, there is a written document on your Life. By this scripture in psalms 45, God has given you the right to rewrite your life and future not because the present circumstances permit it but because you possess a tongue. If you lose everything in life, you have what you need to keep yourself in the path predestined for you.

You keep talking because you will gain satisfaction by the fruit of your mouth. How real is this scripture? On what principle does this scripture work? Because someone might say, I have been talking but nothing seems to happen. When you apply a word from the spirit of God and nothing happens, two things are involved. It is either you have not applied it long enough or you are not applying it rightly. Because as for the Word, it is a changer. The question is, did you engage it well?
