The Spirit Of The World:(Part IV)

In the previous diets, we saw that there are two kinds of spirits that are operational today. There is the spirit of the world and the spirit which comes from God. At every point in life, the Godchild is either submitting to either the spirit of the world or the spirit which is of God. There is no middle ground here because life always requires submission to something irrespective of which way you go. If a man doesn’t submit to the spirit of God, he has automatically submitted himself to the spirit of the world.

The bible tells us this in James 4:4 “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” You see, as a Godchild, you are either on the side of God or on the side of the world. Our Lord Jesus told us that we cannot serve two masters at the same time. He said this in Matthew 6:24 “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.“

Choose to submit to the lordship of the Spirit of God. Recognise that you have received the spirit that proceeds from God.
