The Zoe Life: 3RD ASSIGNMENT
We have been learning for the last couple of days that the life of God was sent to us to do three (3) things, and we have looked at the first two (2) assignments of the life of God, which is to Change us and to change our circumstances and today, we want to look at the third assignment of the life of God in us. The third and ultimate assignment of God’s life in us is to change the world. Thus, the final destination of the life of God is not in us, but in the world. Therefore, our lives are changed by receiving the word, but the world is changed by us giving the word.
This third assignment of the life of God is where the word sets a believer on course, such that the believer moves from having his life and circumstances changed to the point where he begins to achieve the ultimate desire of God for his people, where the believer begins to influence the world for God. From our opening text, we see that we are to make all men see…this shows us that the word of God is not ultimately for our revelation but for the world to have an insight of who He (God) is.
It is good enough that our hearts receive revelations from the word and our lives are built by the word, but that is not the ultimate aim of the word. It is amazing to know that God captured both heaven and earth in what he wants us to achieve. It says in our opening scripture, firstly for all men to see and secondly, for principalities and powers in heavenly places to know.
Hence, God captured that our assignment by the life we have received, is to bring full expression of the life of God, not just for ourselves but for our world to see it and for the realms of the spirit to know it. Tomorrow, we continue in this discourse.
