The Zoe Life: FIRST ASSIGNMENT:(II)
We have been learning about the assignments that the life of God does in the believer, and we started looking at the first which is that the life of God first changes the believer. We understood yesterday that this change may not be physically evident to the believer or those around him but in the realms of the spirit, the change has taken effect and according to scripture in Ephesians 1:13, God seals that believer with the Holy Spirit. Isn’t this amazing? The Holy Spirit is God’s seal, His mark of ownership on you. Hallelujah!
The life of God received in a man, changes him in a manner that he is unaware of initially. His mind is unproductive and unfruitful to the changes that has happened to him. The challenge is that many believers remain at this level and therefore find themselves in a place where they are struggling with sin and struggling with the powers of hell. Know this, the powers of hell do not just effect sin on a man, they also effect torment on a man. It was for this reason that the son of man was manifested, so that he can destroy all the works of darkness. Hallelujah!
This shows us why hell can ensure that a believer does not prosper and his inability to prosper is not a function of any sin committed. We see the man Lazarus, who was by the gate if the rich man as an example. Thus, the kingdom of hell enforces torment on a man as well as they can enforce sin and when sin is enforced on a man, that man finds himself struggling with things that seem beyond his control.
