Understanding The Times and Seasons

Text: 1 Chronicles 12:32
"And of the children of Issachar, which were men that understood the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment."

It is one thing for us as believers to know the times and seasons we are in, but it is an entirely different matter to have an understanding of these same times and season. We live in a world where the truth of God is easily perverted by the enemy to thwart the purposes of God hence, it is expedient for believers to uphold the truth and be bold about their convictions.

Our opening scripture tells us about a certain tribe of the children of Israel which had understanding of the times and because of this, they were able to lead the children of Israel on what to do to produce results and all Israel the bible says were at their command. We are in a season where it is so easy for God’s people to forget the purpose and reason for the season.

This season that commemorates the birth of Jesus is typically filles with so much joy and celebration which is not wrong in itself, because there is always joy in the family or community when a child is born. But beyond the birth, the most important thing to recognize is the purpose for the birth. As we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus in these coming days, it is important that we do not lose sight of the reason Jesus came.

He came to save the world and it is expected that at this time when we get to celebrate His coming, we also fulfill the reason for His birth. We are in very critical times, and we should not be ignorant of the season we are in. Understanding of the times and seasons always puts you ahead.  Dare to be different and take advantage of everything God has made available in this time. Tell more persons about the reason for the season.
