Walking In The Anointing

Text: Acts 10:38 KJV
"How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him"

To walk in the anointing is to walk in the Holy Ghost. It takes the Spirit for one to walk in the anointing because the Spirit of God is The Anointing. From our opening text, we see that Our Lord Jesus was anointed, and by the anointing, He went about doing good.

This is the same Spirit that Jesus spoke to the apostles when He said, “Nevertheless, I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you…” John 16:7. He also made a profound statement when He said, “but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” John 14:7c. For this reason, the Holy Ghost is in us, and because He is in us, we live in Him.

The bible also shows us in Galatians 5:25, “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit”. It is interesting to know that we can live in the Spirit, as children of God, born again, but not walking in the Spirit. Living in the Spirit is the first level of your citizenship of the Kingdom, whereas your conversation, daily interactions to conquering in life is dependent on your walk with the anointing of God’s Spirit.

Walking in the anointing of God’s Spirit is walking in the Word through the Spirit of Truth. The Bible declares the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of Truth (John 16:13), and we have also come to know that Truth is the Word of God (John 17:17).

Our ability to walk in the Anointing is dependent on the magnificent presence of the Word of God in our hearts, and the effectual working of the HolySpirit of God. Choose to walk in the anointing of God’s Spirit today and always.
