Weapons Of WarFare

Certain weapons are given to us to pull down strongholds in our lives whatever they may be. When strongholds exist in your life, it keeps the devil close to you and usually, when you attempt to probably deal with it through prayer and confession, with these strongholds present, the devil simply takes cover.

These strongholds act like military barricades that the devil uses to take cover from your attack instead of running far away. In no time after your attack, you realize that he is back to where he was before. When you demolish strongholds and then utilize the weapons of the spirit, the devil has no place to hide.

If we take a look at verse 5 of our opening scripture, we realize that scripture made mention of these strongholds ‘….casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ’ This is what the weapons of our warfare targets because when the devil wants to make you sick, he inflicts you with imaginations, high things and thoughts. We will take a look at these three individually.

Imaginations are like thoughts but with visible representation in your mind and it can transmit both negative and positive outcomes because you see, the bible equally made reference to God being able to do much more than we imagine. In the same way your imagination can be used as a tool of faith, it can also be a stronghold for the enemy. The mind is ensnared with images of vain things in so much that it sees nothing else and whatever the mind produces is what the person becomes overtime. This is how addictions come about.
