Willingness
Everything we do in the kingdom must come from a place of total willingness and submission to the Lord. No man can truly serve the Lord without being willing to do so. Willingness connotes a total submission of your will to the will of the Lord and it is a conscious and deliberate act. Even Jesus, our Lord and savior had to give up his will for the will of God and willingly took up the cross.
Willingness in accepting kingdom responsibilities would propel a believer to deliver his best in upholding good morals and delivering excellence. This willingness enables a man to make sacrifices, and to be readily available to partake of the fellowship of the sufferings of Christ, dancing to the unforced rhythm of Grace.
We must come to understand that sonship is taking up responsibilities, it is service. That is why it is an error not to serve in God’s house as a son. Matthew 20:25-27 (MSG) “So Jesus got them together to settle things down. He said, “You’ve observed how godless rulers throw their weight around, how quickly a little power goes to their heads. It’s not going to be that way with you. Whoever wants to be great must become a servant. Whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave”. This servanthood, is a bond servant mentality, one born out of Love.
Understand that willingness is a choice, but a choice God expects from us to submit under His will. We have been called and chosen by the Lord to lead and fulfill the kingdom, we must learn to take this as a privilege and not as a burden. For in our willingness, we receive the joy and rewards of service.
