Living In Righteousness

We see from the opening text that he who does not walk in righteousness is not of God. Walking righteously is a lifestyle for the sons of God. Scripture referenced in Hebrews 1: 8 that for ever and ever, the scepter of righteousness is the scepter of the Kingdom of the Son. You see, righteousness is the essence of our kingdom as sons of God. If you as a believer is living in sin, know that you are of the devil and not of God. Scripture tells us in 1 John 3: 8a “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning”.

We have established that living a righteous life is very essential for a child of God. However, many have come to believe that it is impossible to live a righteous life. This is a lie and a deception from the kingdom of darkness. For the God Child, righteousness begins by accepting and speaking forth the dividends of our salvation in Christ Jesus.

In Christ Jesus, God has already declared us righteous (the gift of righteousness), and He expects us to stand so and begin to realize the fruits thereof. Remember the bible tells us there is a path of righteousness which God leads us through; “He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake” Psalms 23: 3. God began this path in Christ Jesus by declaring us righteous and we are expected to speak so. In other words, righteousness begins by speaking that you are righteous. Speak forth your righteousness today and always.
